Certificate Of Naturalization

Why do so many people on here complain about not wanting to send in their original certificate of naturalization to the passport agencies? Regardless of your fears and what you read on here, IT IS REQUIRED. Of course, most anything can get lost in the mail. When that does happen, guess what, there are ways to get it resolved. Just send in the darn certificate and not just make things up before they occur just based on what you see or read online!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So just because it's a requirement people can't feel worried that the Certificate might get lost? I sent my certificate (as required) but was worried it would get lost, because as you say - things do get lost in the mail.

Perfectly normal thing to worry about, the Certificate has a cost that is 5 times more expensive than the passport itself, that's not an easy amount for many people to spend to get a new one. And nobody can be sure that USPS or the passport agency will admit to losing it either, so nobody knows if you will actually get reimbursed or not.

I’ve been there. You started by saying “So Just because it’s a requirement” that is my point. It is a requirement. To get to this point after what we’ve been through? This will now be an issue? Think about it.

Of course it's an issue if the Certificate gets lost. So yeah, that's a VERY valid worry to have. Think about it.

It’s ok to worry about it. It does not erase the fact that again “IT IS A REQUIREMENT TO SEND IT IN”. There is a reason why it is that way. While your concern may be valid to you, it is irrelevant to the process period.

People complain about things all the time, and sometimes it just makes people feel better to voice the complaint.

After all, you complained about people complaining. Will it stop people from complaining? Not a chance. But you felt like you wanted to voice your opinion. And that's ok.

I'm worried like nobody's business that USPS will lose my certificate. Will I send it in? Yes, because I know I have to. Will I complain? Maybe, or maybe not. But, it's my choice to do so. :)

What I miss most about Canada, in no particular order:

My family!

My friends!

KD!

Hawkins Cheezies!

Poutine!

Lays Ketchup Chips!

What I don't miss:

-40 degree weather

It is a Requirement. Are you trying to complain your way out of that process being a Requirement?

This is likely the most pointless thread in the whole forum, and it's of zero help to anyone.

Just because you don't get my point of trying to let people know what to do and what the process requires does not make it what you perceive the post to be. Maybe you can grasp that? Putting fear into people is what you're doing. It is not complaining.

Start naming other things you worry about that you have no control over. Go ahead
