So today we got an e-mail notice that our paperwork finally went from NVS to the Embassy in Bogota, 1yr and 2 months after our paperwork got approved. So maybe some hope out there for folks needing to interview in Bogota. We ended up ending our K-1 run and got married in December and filled for AOS

So some might be asking why do you have a K-1 still going if you got married? Good question. January 2nd I called the USCIS and told them we were no longer pursuing a K-1 the said fine notify the NVS which I did via an email address they gave me and two days later I got an email from NVS saying we got your paperwork. So I figured done. Boy was I wrong.

I called NVS tonight (after 1hr 30 min on hold). I told the woman on the other end my whole story and said yes we got everything that was required, but you didn’t sign the attachment you provided…uggggh.

I said, you guys couldn’t write back and say you needed a signature? She apologized and said she didn’t know why nobody contacted me. Now I have to email the embassy in Bogota to officially kill the K-1. Good Grief!!!

So good information for those of you doing the same thing.

Cheers!!
