How Do I Make Sure My Address Is Correct With USCIS

 Share

So, I sent in my application in dec and just got a letter today saying they can use my previous biometrics. The concerning thing was that my husband and I live in an apt and the envelope didn’t have our apt number on it. The mailman guessed and got it right but it’s extremely concerning. When we sent in our application we quadruple checked so I highly doubt we missed something that big but I want to make sure they have our correct address for obvious reasons. Anyone know the best way to go about that?

Did you file online or paper filling. If you filed online then just double check your address and update if any thing is missing.

According to the OPs previous posts, they are at the I751 stage which has no online option yet.

You can also call USCIS, get a real person, and confirm your address with them, make corrections as needed.  I recommend this for peace of mind.  Good luck with the ROC process!

Perfect, thank you. Do you have a number you recommend calling if I am in the USA?

Let me Google that for you.

The number should also be at the bottom of any correspondence you receive from USCIS. Usually the link to the Contact Center website is also listed.

Why are you so ###### rude? I didn’t know if there was a specific one that would be better to call than the general number listed...

I'm here to help others, as most who have seen my posts can attest to. I do think that part of that process is empowering others to find information themselves.

But I get it, there are better ways to do that than my last post. Please do visit the second link I provided, though, as it may have some other contact options you aren't aware of.

It is quite long, about 65 characters not including our names.

do you mean street number, street name + apt number is 65 characters, that seems a lot
On the letter is there enough room for the apt number on the same line as the street name and number?

City, state and zip code are usually on a different line
