USPS lost my green card

Luckily we spoke with USCIS and they gave us an appointment with a field office and my husband was able to get his visa stamped and extended for a year until all this blows over, the I90 is approved, and he gets his green card....let’s pray that he gets it before Feb. 2022

So sorry you had to go through all of that! May I ask how you know when your green card was mailed out? I’ve been in America for a month and haven’t heard a word.

I received a text message from USCIS and I looked online as well

@Cp192019 - You can call USCIS and they will let you know if the card has been mailed. Alternatively, you can create a profile on https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/displayLogon.do   and https://myaccount.uscis.gov/.   You can also chat with emma and follow her instructions at https://www.uscis.gov/

So incompetent. How come they don’t know where it is? It would be amazing for USCIS to send us tracking numbers to you know...just see the whereabouts of such an important document!!😡 I hope you get it sorted soon!

Greencards are shipped with tracking, once USPS picks up the package from USCIS your tracking number shows in your USCIS online update. 

 

Packages that are shipped with USPS coming to your address also show up automatically in Informed Delivery without you having to add the tracking number yourself. 

 

That said, there will always be errors, there will always be packages that don't get scanned, there will always be packages that disappear.

Anything mailed from US takes at least a month to reach us.

Thanks for that! I actually did not know that. Since my status now changed to "Card Was Picked Up By The United States Postal Service" I indeed see the tracking number. Thank you :)!
