Hi everyone!

What should we do if in the official I-864 form the household size is automatically filled as "1", screenshot below. It's impossible to change. Can we just fix it with a pen?? Do you think that's allowed?

If not, does anyone have a copy of the pdf without pre-filled household size?? Thank you!

No, it is not impossible to change.  We were able to enter the correct number just fine using our preferred PDF editor.  Explore other editors if the one you're using doesn't let you change that field.  Or yes, you may just hand-write then scan.

The automatic filling is correct and you shouldn't edit that anyway. Focus on filling the form correctly, when you do so, the total household size will show up correct.

To restate what arken said: fill in the other spaces with the appropriate values, the "Household Size" should auto-update to the correct total.

Your error is leaving the top space blank.  You are sponsoring a total of 1 immigrant(s) with this affidavit.  That should already be entered and then entered again where you see it in your example.  Follow instructions and complete properly with Acrobat or Adobe Reader, and the correct number will appear where it should be.
