Green Card after CR1 Entry

Hello!

I am very excited that, after nearly five years apart, my husband finally entered the POE in Atlanta on his CR1 visa on March 24!

Prior to his entry, I paid the USCIS fee on March 16. Since then, we have not received any updates regarding the green card. I know it typically takes 90 days up to 120, but I have recently seen a couple of cases where it took only a couple weeks post entry. What is the typical timeline these days?

The college he plans to attend in August is wary to accept the I-551 passport stamp as anything other than an international student, which comes with so much institutional baggage that I would like to avoid. I am eager to get that taken care of with the green card!

Mine took 63 days. Someone who entered a month after he got theirs in 2 weeks, and I was still waiting.

If the college admissions person doesn’t recognize an I-551 stamp they shouldn’t be in that job.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

Perhaps you can help them clarify her permanent resident status with an explanation directly from USCIS. This page:

Can you see the case status online?  Ours took two weeks Just got the 10-year Card 5 days after approval.  Definitely call.

Yes, it says, “Immigrant Visa Payment Received.” Seems like it’s taking slightly longer, I’ll give it a little while before I call. Thanks!

Thank you so much! I knew there had to be a thread, but I searched and searched and could not find it. By the looks of it, seems like it should be soon!
