Wait Time for I-130 with DCF (Exceptional Circumstances)

I recently filed form I-130 for my wife locally with the London Embassy under exceptional circumstances related to new work I’ve got in the US.

We’d like to move the process along as quickly as possible, so I was wondering if anyone knows what we should be gathering now.

It’s proven hard to find recent timelines with DCF for I-130 on here, understandably, so if anyone has seen any, it’d be good to see how long we can expect the wait to be. Would also be good to know the what rest of the process will be like with the London Embassy.

Check these threads for suggestions and also to get an indication of London DCF 2020 timelines --

I can’t help with timelines, but the process you will follow is on the London embassy website. The page has on the first half what the DCF folks followed when USCIS was still approving petitions in the London office. When your petition is accepted and approved, the same four steps listed are for you to take and information about documents, interview, courier etc on subsequent pages. (The last part of this link applies to those doing regular processing and going through the NVC. IT’s different to what you will do.) Your main difference from the regular spouse applicants is you skip NVC so you don’t upload any supporting documents and wait for NVC to check them and assign you an interview. You pick your own interview date from a calendar of available appointments and you take all supporting documents to the interview to be checked on the day. In that way, your process is a little like what K1 fiancé’s do in London.

There is a UK forum on Visa Journey you might want to start browsing. While many are regular processing spouses, everybody goes to the same medical clinic and the same interview, so that’s a good place to ask any questions or read about what happened at the interview or how long it took the passport/visa to be returned in London.
