Hey,

we had our interview (i-485) in February and still waiting to hear from them.

Ead card is expiring in June, do you think it would be good to renew it or just wait for the greencard results?

If we renew it, what do we need to send with the form and WHERE to send it?😁

thank you💓

Hey, has anyone gone through EAD renewal 2021? How lond does it usually take to get it after sending all the documents? Thank you! :)
If your EAD expires before getting the new one, do you need to stop working while waiting the new card?

The Receipt notice for the renewal together with the expired EAD is proof of the automatic 180-day extension: https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/form-i-9-resources/handbook-for-employers-m-274/handbook-for-employers-m-274/40-completing-section-2-of-form-i-9/44-automatic-extensions-of-employment-authorization-documents-eads-in-certain-circumstances

It is free to renew if you paid the full I-485 fee: https://www.uscis.gov/feecalculator Select "Yes" to both "Did you file your pending I-485 on or after July 30, 2007?" and "Did you pay the I-485 required application fee?"

I-765: $0

I-131: $0

Attach a photocopy of the I-485 receipt notice as proof that I-485 fee was paid.

Thank you!! I’m sorry this might be a dumb question. But how do you know you are eligibility for 180 day extension?
My card expire beginning of June and I send renewal application a week ago.
waiting for i-485 interview results. So now just seeing if I get GC or EAD first!

Sorry that this is a late response but I'm going to reply to your unanswered question in case anyone cares to know more. From a legal source: EADs as of recent have been taking 3 - 6 months instead of the usual 1-3 months. Since it's free, you may as well file as soon as you can.

Your EAD category is C09 which is one of the listed categories. The EAD-part is automatically extended but NOT the AP-part.

Hey,

I understood that my EAD card was automatically extended 180 days.

still have not hear anything from GC or ead reneval. It’s almost 180 days since the ead expired and I applied new one. Does that mean once the 180 days is over I have to stop working?😞

Maybe you could try to file for an expedited request based on financial loss to an individual and claiming that you’ll have to stop working at your current job if you don’t get the card in time.

hopefully they’ll issue it right away and even issue your green card at the same time.

im afraid to be in the same situation in a few months too..
