I can't stop crying

So Amman Embassy calls my husband on June 21(my bday) to send in his passport via Aramex to finally issue his visa. I keep emailing them asking them whats going on, the status etc. they write me back saying they received it on the 26th and it takes 4-7 days to process the visa. Today, they call my husbands parents' house in Amman to ask or i guess verify questions, like where he went to school, occupation, siblings, etc. Then they said that they would send his passport back and call him once again when the visa is ready to be issued. I thought, that makes no sense the visa was obviously ready to be issued when they called on the 21st. So without hesitation, i wait till 8:30 am to call the Department of State to get the most devastating news: that negative information has arisen and the security checks have to be ran again. At that point, i went ballistic starting to cry( i have a 7 day old baby) asking the ####### visa specialist if they are recording my conversation and that they are making me suicidal with this whole case, and where i should send my suicide note to. I seriously can't take this anymore and i think im going into postpartum depression, these people have drained me mentally, physically and emotionally. I don't know what to do anymore. Any suggestions. Can i sue them for making my life miserable?

oh honey take a deep breath. I know this seems like the straw that broke the camel's back but you have to be strong for your baby. You have tons of hormones still going through your body from just giving birth so please just take a deep breath in and out. You WILL get through this.

I know that no advice can make it all better and make the bad news disappear. Post partum depression is a real and serious matter, so if you truly think you have this problem, talk to someone about it now.

As far as getting through this, just look at your baby, and know that you have to get thru this for their sake. I know it's not easy, and the road can be hard and long, but in the end it is worth it.

Just know that somehow, someway, someday, you and your husband will be together again and you can be a healthy, happy family.

My prayers and thoughts are with you in this wait.

My life has been blessed with the love of 4 of the sweetest men in the world. James, Jonathan, Nicolas, and Islam, my sons and my S/O.

OPSSSSSSS I DID IT AGAIN!

If you think there is even a hint of post partum depression run do not walk to your doctor. When my daughter was born I spent like 6 weeks in a black hole. When I went back for my 6 week checkup the doctor was very nice and said there was no reason for me to have suffered like this. Those are 6 weeks with my daughter that Ill never get back. Of course it could just be stress God knows that this process is enough to make anyone crazy...Im sooo sorry that you are going through this. Just words I know but hopefully the prayers for you behind these words will help ease your heart.

I definitely think you have justified reason to go ask for some meds. Seriously I had post partum with my first and it was just like described above....6 weeks of a black hole. I can't imagine going through this visa crud on top of it all.

Nadia, while I have experienced giving birth to our son w/o my husband being here, your pain is your own and I make no attempts to say that I know exactly what you are going through. I certainly agree with the other posters here that it might be a good idea to talk to your doctor.

It has been almot 18 months since our son was born. Not only did I go through the pregnancy and birth by myself, but also the death of my father...all without my husband. But you just have to keep your chin up and keep forcing through the wind, so to speak. Our babies need us to be strong. I have just kept the thought in my mind that even my husband's case is not approved, we will be together some how, some way and some day. I know that I have been so busy with raising our son that the time has flown by and we are almost at the end of the journey (hopefully no more than 6 more months or less).

Just know that we all cry with you during this hard time and that we all wish you to get through this.

Hey girl.. How is Algiers? I just finally got ahold of the notary in Tunis that translated our papers. It took me sending a hundred dollars over there to get someone to go pick up our stuff from the courthouse and the certificates should be in the mail to me tomorrow. I am sooooooooooo stresssed from this. You had asked me if getting married in Tunis was easier than Algeria. Um.. Its faster initially but I have been unable to physically have marriage certificates in my hand and we have been married almost 2 months. I have my contract of marriage but no actual certificates and I went ahead and sent in my packages anyway and I will let them RFE me so at least I am not waiting for a priority date ( I sent them in with the marriage contract not the certificates) Ill let you know what s up. Hell this is so stressful.. oh my god

anyway.. I have a good income last year and I think I wil be barely make it this year but at least I have my house as an asset to balance it out.. Ill let you know whats cooking as we go

Hello Kathleen.

Nice to hear from you too! Alger is same as I left. We will see, when I arrive on the 20th. But I must admit I do miss it LOL! But it is sure hot there now! Good thing, the house is a block from the beach!

Hmmm... so it seems it is no easier in Tunis then! LOL Well of course they would not make it easier for Algerians, after what happened in Sousse before. LOL

Tipaza is still giving me a hard time about my residency, so I cannot even do anything with my petiton yet. But one good side to all this is, that we are going to a wedding in Begaia, then from there going to visit a friend in Kef. So at least, I will have a nice holiday this summer. Änyway who, keep the hope alive... I have not heard of any denials from Alger (yet) and enchallah will not... please keep in touch. I am praying for your quick and easy success. Bring that man HOME!
