Hi

i went to the k1 visa interview  and the counselor said she need to review my birth notification and find my medical report in the system before approving my visa she asked me to send follow up email after 1 week if i didn't her back from them. the called me 2 days after sking for my medical report i set it to the and they told me there is no other issues. no it has been a week my visa statues changed as below:

  • Refused for section 221g 26 April
  • Ready 28 April
  • Application received 29 April and case created "Nonimmigrant Visa
  • Administrative Processing  03 May

my question is this a good sign? does it really take weeks to changed to issued as i have to travel in 9 days and we paid alot of money for wedding in my home land

Thank you so much. do you know how long normally will take until i get my visa and passport back?

10 to 15 days is not unusual,  however, every consulate is different and the pandemic has changed what was normal.

YMMV
