Our packet was delivered to the lockbox on May 5th and we have yet to receive our NOA 1… I contacted USCIS and they told me to give it 60 days😩 Has anyone else had this happen?

Sorry to hear that guys. I wonder what the reason for the differences in NOA time is. Can anyone explain some of the possible causes?

Hi there, do you know how many NOA1 are we supposed to get? we got one for I-130, I-485, I-131 and I-765. But is that it ? What about i130A and I-864?

THANKS

You won't receive Noa for those form since those are chained to another one your already have. I130A is supporting I130 and so is I-864 which is the affidavit of support, they don't give you anything as far as documentation goes. You should be good.

I wonder if you were able to do anything with your noas at the DMV. I read somewhere that it sometimes depends on who checks your case some people are employed by uscis and some are contractors, either or, some people are kinda laid back and take their sweet time to process cases. I think employees are allowed to get certain amount of cases and take them home for revision and come back to the office with their outcomes. Contractors just work cases on site. Now, I think that's their workflow or it's the other way around. Of course I could be misinformed and the info I read could be also not true. But, it makes sense to me.

We received a I-797 NOA for filing an expired edition I-485. Seems simple enough, but here’s my concern. They said they were returning the fees & supporting documents. The only thing in package was the expired 485 edition and the green cover page. Can someone provide some insight on why they did not return the certified checks and supporting documents? Does this mean I should just fill out the revised 485 and re-submit? Thank you for any responses.

Yes, in fact I got my driver's license valid from 1 year from the NOA date on the I-797C here in Arizona!

It wasn't straightforward though, and it will depend on your state's rules and the DMV staff you encounter. See this thread I posted in for more info:

Interesting, that sounds a bit sketchy but would explain it.

Biometrics  was applied to my case on 6/8/21.

He had his biometrics taken earlier this year. I'm hoping his EAD and AP are approved soon.
