Hello. I got my ssn card today and i noticed my middle name is missing 2 letters. The name on my visa is correct. I read they only allow 16 letters and my name is longer than that. Is that a problem? Should i call and try to fix it?

From my wife’s experience, no it won’t be a problem.

No problem. I had the same thing happen to me. My first name and two middle names were grouped together as one veeeeery long name (ie no space between the names), and they still couldn't fit the whole thing so they cut off tree letters in my second middle name. I have since then changed name and my SSC doesn't look like that anymore, but it was never an issue to have my name messed up on the actual card. It was correct in their system, just not on the card.
