We are trying to file our taxes using the Turbo Tax platform and it asked about if I made money Woking outside of the US and if I had foreign bank accounts. I worked in the UK until the end of February before coming to the US with a K1 visa so I am not sure if I should say yes. I already paid taxes in the UK and don’t know if i will be able to get earning statements from the UK if I have to.

Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

If you want to file jointly then you have no choice but to answer yes

The answer is YES. You do not need an earnings statement. You figure out how much gross income you made between Jan 1 and leaving the UK. Then you convert it to US Dollars at the exchange rate for that time period. Then report it to Turbo and go through Form 2555. If it says you are not eligible for the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion, then you have answered something wrong.
