What country are we talking about here?

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

See INA 101(a)(35): "The term "spouse", "wife", or "husband" do not include a spouse, wife, or husband by reason of any marriage ceremony where the contracting parties thereto are not physically present in the presence of each other, unless the marriage shall have been consummated."

 

Where will you two be when the marriage ceremony occurs? If "not physically present in the presence of each other" then when and where do you plan to meet after the marriage ceremony?

Even if you can do a legal online marriage, you cannot file any type of petition until after you have been in each other's presence.
