Sent out my package via USPS on 5/5/21, was received by USCIS the morning of 5/7/21, and just saw the pending debit to my account for the cashed check today, 5/21/21, exactly 14 days later.

No text message confirmation yet, and the NOA1 didn't show up in this morning's Informed Delivery, but I expect it should be on its way!

Just a further update that I got my text at 3:00am this morning (5/24/21) and my USPS Informed Delivery shows that my NOA1 is in today's mail, with a notice date of 5/20/21 (also the day the letter was stamped/sent, according to the scan).

Yes, you may apply for naturalization while the I-751 is still pending. I believe the N-400 online application has a checkbox that you can select to let USCIS know that you have an I-751 pending. *Not sure about that*.

I have seen it work in different ways. Sometimes people have a combo I-751/N-400 interview and when that works out, they get both approved on the same day. Sometimes, the I-751 file is not there, or the officer cannot access it, and then they only do the N-400  portion of it and adjudicate the I-751 later.

I believe there are 2 threads that discuss I-751/N-400 combo interviews. Here is one of them

Thanks for the detailed explanation!! :)

yep that is what I thought as well. Same day with USC4SPOUSE, I believe it was Friday. So I expected some text or anything... They do ignore the notification form time to time though 😢

Yeah I've heard that, which is unfortunate. At least they took your money which means you have a case number! Of course waiting for that letter to come is agonizing. Hopefully it shows up very soon. :)

Same here. I am just happy they did not reject the filing. Ours arrived on the 7th and that's when my spouse's expired. Now it's just a matter of getting the NOA/extension letter in the mail.
