Hey guys, my window for I-751 opened April 13th, I have not filed yet as I am still collecting information, I am hoping to send it no later than 05/25.

I am getting my sworn affidavits notarized, I thought I could send copies of a notarized letter, does anyone know if this can be done or do they have to be original copies.

Also am I late? What if I don't get my NOA by my GC expiry? what can I do, my driver's license expires and do I have to leave the country?

Thanks in Advance

@anjad22, You are fine as long as USCIS receives the package no later than the day your conditional green card expires. If you send it by 5/25, you should get your NOA before your green card expires.

I would not delay sending your I-751 to include affidavits, though - unless other evidence is lacking. I would just send it.

You do not have to leave the country if you do not get your NOA before your green card expires. It's fine.

@CCCCCF, our joint checking account shows a hold for $595 and $85. The checks have not cleared yet. I am thinking this happened early morning today and they will clear by Saturday, if not Monday.

Our package arrived on 5/7/21.

@CCCCCF, I do not know that is how it works. I understand that USCIS transfers cases from one center to another to balance workloads.

I was hoping with new president, we can expect a shorter processing timeline.   At least we can hope to get back to normal life without covid so USCIS can also function normal.

Any idea how we get updated if/when a transfer happens? I didn’t include the electronic notification form in my I-751 package, so am depending on the NOAs they send in the mail.

@Viridian I did not get a text notification either. I am sure that once we get the NOA, we can create a USCIS account. I believe that is how/where USCIS would notify you of any transfers.

Thanks. I’ll update here as more info comes in. My I-751 package arrived at the Arizona lockbox on May 14th. The check hasn’t been cashed yet, but from what I’m seeing on here, I’m not expecting that to happen until next week at the earliest.

I hope so as well. I’m keeping a close eye on the processing times to see if things do start speeding up, but so far it’s still looking like a long wait.
