Best of luck guys!

You should receive a message on your phone in approximately 2 weeks as they're finally speeding it up again.

Good to know! Do you mean the whole process, or just the initial notification?

After the 18 month extension expires, you can get a stamp to extend the validity of the card by another year. If this expires too while you're still in RoC or N-400, you are legal to work. You won't have a status per se, but because your application is still being processed, your status to work legally won't be affected.

Thanks for explaining!

Yes, DMV will(should) accept expired green card + 18 month extension letter

another option if the above mentioned doesn't work in some states is to make an INFOPASS appointment at the local USCIS office and have them stamp your passport with i-551, that would serve as proof of US residency

Hi everyone :)

Just sent my package. My greencard expires in August/2021. I am going to be out of the US for 20 days in June/2021, Is that ok go on that trip after sending it?

I will still probably be without the extension letter by the beginning of June.

Thank you!

Hello everyone!

I sent my package on April 05 and it was returned today because I sent prior to the 90-period 🙁

My whole package returned with date stamped on all pages. Do i need to fill out a i-751 form with new dates for May or send the package back the way I received it??

My 90 day window is already open and I am planning to send as soon as possible. 😅

Thank you!

Put it on the new paper, you don't want it to be returned once again

Hey all! Just found this thread. I sent the RoC application last week, received in Arizona last Tuesday according to the tracking number. I haven’t heard anything back yet and the card hasn’t been charged. I did include the e-notification form so hoping to hear something soon! 🤞

It is taking 15 to 21 days. Hopefully you'll get the message soon. 😊

Hi everyone!

I have a quick question regarding to I-9.

I am about to change a job soon in June, and my card expires on 31 July 2021.

Just wonder will this be an issue? I have already filed the case but I am worried that I will possibly not receive the extension letter in early June.

So I am not sure if employer will accept a green card for employment that is going to expire soon? At this point, I don't even have a case number yet.

Anyone has any idea?

I751:

Mailed: 3th May 2021

Delivered: 5th May 2021

Rejected due to missing signature: 26th May 2021

Resend: 26th May 2021

Delivered: 28th May 2021

As long as it's valid at time of employment, it should be sufficient. Your employer will most likely ask you to provide updated proof of employment authorization as the expiration date gets closer.
