Hello all!! I didn’t see a May group for this yet. I am currently waiting for my daughters Birth Certificate and I am sending my application right away. I have gathered as much proof of relationship as I could(bills/pictures/our baby girl BC/tax returns/$680 check Wishing us all best of luck unto this next phase.

Also...hubby and I will be reaching out 3rd year of marriage this coming November. We do plan to file the N-400 while our I-751 is pending. If anyone in the Chicago area have experience with the processing time for both...is combined interview a possibility?🤞🏽

I'm not from Chicago but in a lot of cases filling N400 while I751 is pending help to move your I751 faster

Hello everyone!

I sent my package on April 05 and it was returned today because I sent prior to the 90-period 🙁

My whole package returned with date stamped on all pages. Do i need to fill out a i-751 form with new dates for May or send the package back the way I received it??

My 90 day window is already open and I am planning to send as soon as possible. 😅

Thank you!

It's been discussed on this site that sending what they've returned is fine but I think it is safer to send newly printed forms and documents. You can sleep better at night knowing you did it right this time. :)

I'm hearing that it's taking up to a month for payments to complete and receipts to be issued.

It was taking 4 to 6 weeks, but lately, it is taking 17 to 21 days to receive a notification on your phone -if you included the G-1145 form-. The NOA1 should arrive a few days later.

Rescheduling Biometric Services Appointments by Phone

Release Date
05/11/2021

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced today that applicants, petitioners, requestors and beneficiaries may now call the USCIS Contact Center (800-375-5283) to reschedule their biometric services appointments scheduled at a USCIS Application Support Center. Previously, applicants had to submit requests in writing to reschedule their biometrics appointments. This change helps eliminate undue paperwork and allows USCIS to track the request through a more efficient process.

Applicants must establish good cause for rescheduling and must call before the date and time of their original appointment to reschedule. If an applicant fails to call before the scheduled appointment or fails to establish good cause, USCIS may consider the application, petition, or request abandoned and, as a result, it may be denied.

Hi all, good to meet you. I mailed my I-751 package yesterday, and plan to submit N-400 a year from now.

When do we find out which Service Center we’ve been assigned to? Will that be in the first NOA?

A little nervous about the long wait time, as my current job ends in August, so I’ll likely be looking for work during the waiting period. Very unclear on how I go about proving to potential employers that  I still have the right to work, and that I’m not likely to lose my residency in 18 months. Anyone else in a similar situation?

Yup. If you send G-1145, you'll get a text before the letter. If you're in DC, you'll likely get YSC, Potomac center assuming you've already appeared in an interview during your AoS. Otherwise it will likely be MSC.

After the 18 month extension expires, you can get a stamp to extend the validity of the card by another year. If this expires too while you're still in RoC or N-400, you are legal to work. You won't have a status per se, but because your application is still being processed, your status to work legally won't be affected.
