On an average day we:

please process may

I’m hoping they speed up a lot, I’ve been following March and they seem to only be processing 50 cases per day and at that rate it could be April/may by the time they get to us.

Fun fact, that data was updated December 3rd. I-129F was always a small share of that overall group, but ouch.

Here is the link for the May Cases file.
What I noticed is that 2 cases got denied Dec 3 and Dec 8 and another case got approved Nov 30. There is no possible way for me to know if that approval was expedited but with the recent denials also, that means they have started working our cases.
I will be updating the file once a week maybe more often depending on work.

Hello, I am new to this. Very helpful to see this data, but how is this information populated? Is it from that USCIS Case app? Also, I am not seeing my Receipt# range of 87700 on this list. Is it grouped part of 87500 since its increasing in 500 increments? I assume this is updated manually, but any updates on this?

This has been happening every month (i am tracking cases since May, and habe all statuses and changes, of cases), they do 1-2 cases for May. And since i track every case, i see if it was expedite or not. Most approved caeses in May up now were not expedite, just some random processing.

So it seems that they process random batches to keep average processing time down, because if they did it properly, they would have to adjust expected dates on their website to 9-10 months, instead of 6.5-8.5 currently

You were right, they changed the Estimated time range 7-9.5 months.

Cycle Time Methodology

Cycle time is the number of previous months of receipts it takes to equal the current month’s pending receipt volume.

For example, if a specific form has 500 applications pending for the month of April 2020 and received 200 receipts in February 2020 and 300 receipts in March 2020, then the cycle time for this form in April 2020 is 2 months (200 + 300 = 500 pending applications). This is defined as the lower range value. The upper range value is normally the lower range value x 1.3.

For example, if the cycle time is 2 months, then the upper range value would be 2 months x 1.3 = 2.6 months (rounded up to 3 months).

In this example, the range posted on the website for this form for April 2020 would be 2 Months to 3 Months.

did anyone understand this? maybe they have fewer/more applications current month?

Irrelevant information for us, we know exactly how many applications were filed per month and know real-time how many they're doing per day. Their processing times are just useful for the purposes of submitting inquiries. The 7 - 9.5 estimate is long, long gone, it's 10 - 12 months right now and will be over 12 by the time April fliers are up at this rate. USCIS got a lot of fiancee applications after March 2021 and needs more resources than available to process them all.

USCIS every year receives around this amount of applicants that’s not something new. It also doesn’t mean that they’ll always be slow like this. It’s not correct to calculate timeframes only because of the current situation, nobody knows what will happen in the next couple of days or weeks, so there is no need to be negative and spread that negativity to people who are waiting. It doesn’t help.

You think I'm being negative...? I'm being honest, and everyone has the right to as much information as they can get, whether or not that makes them happy or sad. For the past 3 months, processing time has slowed down incredibly. March filers were supposed to get processed starting October - it is now end of January and we've only just really started. It has been confirmed several times over that getting 4,000 I-129Fs in one month is not normal. Our calculations are also not somehow incorrect b/c of the "current situation," our estimates have come from spending every night adding up approvals/RFEs and communicating to you guys exactly where they are.

It's because of us that the March/April filers aren't all thinking right now their applications have been lost in a bin somewhere. We're just trying to keep people informed so they don't get crushed when the VisaJourney and USCIS estimates come and go.

Hi @J&D1008

when I go through that link "you can sign up at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (govdelivery.com)"

it subscribed me to "One-Year Anniversary of Immigration Executive Orders, Feb. 2, 2022"

I didn't get the same email. Is there any thing else I need to do to sign up for that virtual briefing?

thanks

It seems that January will best month in long time regarding processing of K1 cases. They processed almost 1600 (first screen shot) up to today and they have two more days left.

Sadly there is over 5000 cases(second screen shot) left before they come to May filers. If they manage to get the processing rate to 2000 we can expect to reach May 2021 filers in 2.5 Months.

You seem right about the 2.5 months. I just checked the USCIS processing times as of today and it changed again. Now it shows 9 to 12 months for California Service Center and Receipt date changed from April 28 to February 10.
