Gosh I see today they have changed this page

https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

No longer shows what month they're working on.

I'm really worried with how long they take that the whole 'have to have met each other in person within the last 2 years' will become out of date (even though we have met again since submitting)

This is where they are at. March 21st can send an inquiry but not March 22nd

Hi everyone, is there a holiday or an off day for USCIS. I'm freaking out, there're no updates for yesterday! And everyone is so silent for the past 24 hours 🥺

There’s literally an update from 12hrs ago from @Etherial right above your post….

How many cases they need to process weekly to reduce the backlog?

Minimum is 130 cases per day. Average month has around 2900 cases and they work around 22 days per month so average processing rate should be around 130 cases per day just to keep back log from growing. Every day they do less, backlog at the end of que is growing.

And you said this about two weeks ago so since they have not been processing 130 cases per day in the past two weeks, it’s more like they need to process 135-140 per day to keep backlog from growing.

130 is general number since there are big months as was March 2021 that had over 3500 cases and small months such as February 2021 that had 2500 months. So in average they need to do around 130 cases just to keep current wait times for everyone, by that mean that May 2021 will get their approvals in 13 Months range as it was shown on their website.

Real impact of below 130 processing rate will be felt on people who submitted in Q4 2021 and later, since they wait time will increase exponentially.

135-140 cases per day would mean that they would be catching up for everyone, not only us in May 2021. this catlich up would actually slowly start to reduce backlog for people on back of the cue, but they are not doing this.

So my minimum for them ist 130+ cases. basicly, not to add actional wait for me, but also doent screw people behind me.

Thanks for the updates! Do you think May will also be processed in 13 months then? I guess there’s almost another 2 months to try to get through May, but there are still around 2000 left in April so I don’t know.

I’m a June filer so I’m trying to figure out when they would finish June. But definitely If they don’t catch up, the Q4 2021 people will feel it even worse 😔

It’s sad that this has become such a difficult process. The k1 visa should not require so many months of processing. I think it’s even classified as a non immigrant visa (in a weird way).

I expect that majority of people in May will wait for 13.5-14.5 Months. Sadly, there are no signs of processing improvements. June will be probably at 14-15 Months. since there are no signs of improvements, and we are slowly entering in Summer vacation season, so I would not be surprised if we see stagnation of processing rates as we approach summer months.

But USCIS ways are misterius ones, so it is possible that they start processing K1s like craze next weeks so all my predictions fall flat :D => if would be happy to be wrong

A free $20k+ for USCIS. I wish they’d use this money to pay some overtime on our seemingly very few adjudicators. I wonder how many withdrawals they get in a year and how much “free” extra money that adds up to for them.

@Display Name2 Thanks for pulling this!

So for 228 at $535 each that was a free $120,000+ that they definitely don’t seem to be using to pay overtime to clear out our backlog. Brilliant.
