I think the charts you posted are promising though, I was happy to see them! 🙏 They did increase the number of cases processed this past week, so maybe they are starting to add more resources. My hope is they are doing these same analyses and have a plan to speed things up. I don't believe USCIS will allow continuing the backlog to pile up, especially for a visa for which only US citizens can apply.

Let's stay positive! I think the trends are moving in the right direction. Maybe they're trying to get closer to the 130 per day. Hopefully May will get movement soon :)

I believe this too. There will be ups and downs throughout the month but from what I’ve been seeing there seems to be a trend in the right direction. I like the way you think!

Man, 17 months puts September 2021 Filers at February 2023 for a possible NOA 2 response.

This is insane.

My Jehovah give patience to all those waiting.

Yea that would be really insane. Unfortunately, and I hate to say this but I think that March 2021 - April 2021 will be the ones that end up waiting the longest. I think it will only improve if slightly from here on out. USCIS has set goals and timeframes for FY 2023. In order to achieve this they cannot go into September with a 17+ month wait and magically reverse this within a year. The process has already started since their announcement. Hiring and training takes time. I mean what’s the point of even setting goals if by 2022 filers are going to see 24+ month waits? At some point it has to be fixed, probably sooner than later.

Is there a major chance they miss this and simply push back the goals, yes. But by the agency simply acknowledging they are aware of this backlog I think is a huge deal. It is nothing to just goff at. When has any government agency ever acknowledged their shortcomings? At least they are aware and trying to do something about it. Imagine all this without any acknowledgement from the agency. Then I could easily expect a 17+ wait in September.

anyways just trying to stay positive!

Hey guys! Has anyone in May tracked today? It looks like June had a good bit of action today, so I hope they got some May people also! Not sure what's going on this week, I'm hoping this is their new strategy.

What is happening is that USCIS is taking random cases with later filing dates to push down the average processing times. Theirs charts looks better for them, and they can celebrate then because they are doing so amazing job in these hard times.

Sorry for being sarcastic, but their  performance is just breaking so many hearts. :( I don't find any other way to process the fact that our future home country is treating families like this.

Although June filers are already entering 11 months so that’s still not great 🤦🏽‍♀️ I’m not sure if they’re working on people past June or not. I’m a June filer. I was hoping they’re trying to kind of work in parallel to speed things up a bit.

I know I’m so sorry this is the impression we’re all getting! It sounds like you’re the beneficiary? It’s even taking a longer time for US citizens to get passports renewed, so the problem isn’t just the I-129F processing. Let’s just hope things get better! I still believe they are processing more cases from April this week than they were the past few weeks, so maybe they will continue moving faster!

I just ran the numbers, this is exactly what is happening, they are artificially trying to keep the processing times down.

This is overview of new cases touched across all ranges (only today -> only NOA1 cases that have changed). For no reason there is 15 Cases from June. Since June is on 11th month of wating, they are trying fake the numbers and keep estimated times on "11-13 Months", instead of true times of 12-14 Months.

USCIS is really worst agency I have ever had contact with. This is really infuriating that they are resorting to stuff like this.

Today they processed in total 118 cases across all ranges (65 NOA1 Touched and rest are old RFEs processed => together 118). Baciscly the back log is still growing, since they haven't processed 130+ cases today. And they are bravely doing stuff like this with "massaging" the processing times.

PS. Screenshot shows only newly touched NOA1 Cases, not including RFEs

That brings ONE total update today, May 4th.

Gratitude towards the weekly champions @DSBeijing & @Etherial who keep us updated, because this wasn't easy. It took almost an hour for me to do this and this was done by alternating with both my iphone AND my ipad 😂. I wouldn't suggest DAILY updates for now, but I would suggest that we (collectively) be patient because that's all you can do for now 😃

Oh yeah patience for sure! We’ve all come this far so we can make it a bit longer haha never mind my new strategy comment. I assumed they would be working some on may since they’re touching on June. I hope you’ll all hear something soon!

Whooa that's exactly their strategy, for a moment I was naive thinking they were suddenly keeping up with the pace, but your theory seems more accurate.

Yes! We must remain optimistic 😉 . I want my beneficiary to receive his visa and meet me here, as much as the next person, but all we can do is wait knowing THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL 🙏🏽

Keep in mind as well that the expedite approvals will naturally bring times down. And there were a lot of expedites from even 2022. Approving people in June is great to get it to 11 months and all, but if you have a truckload of January/February 2022 filers coming in... that's a big decrease.

I mean, we can see here that real times are 13+ months, but this contradictorily seems to let everyone put in inquiries now. Which is, I'm sure, also not what USCIS wants to be dealing with.

Funny thing is, this the reason I started tracking the cases across all ranges. In the beginning I was only tracking 2-3 Months before May 2021, since I am my filer, but in late 2021 I noticed complete collapse of processing rates, while at all the time they were still calming that average wait time is 6-8 months even though true processing time was around  at 8-10 Months. Then I started tracking all ranges, and noticed that they will do bursts random processing in low Range months. This way they keept processing rates in range of 6-8 Months. In February this became so obvious, that entire February and March was outside of normal processing times, since the processing times were faked for so long, that it was impossible to hide true state. so they shifted to 10-13 Months. Now we are approaching's similar boundary, officially they are processing 10-13 Month old cases, when in reality we are at 13+ Months.

They can fake it for one or two months more.

Best way to se how they are faking is this page here,

https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/historic-pt

This is official data from USCIS from 31-March 2022. According to them average wait time was 10.1 Months. what cannot be true, because at that time they were still processing Early march cases, so true wait time was 12+.

This is one of the reasons, that they skip large part of months beeing processed and proceed to the next one. For example there was almost 800 untouched March cases when they started processing April.

Hi everyone! It's wonderful seeing those early approvals! Hope it gets even better within the next few days.

We're September filers, and trying to apply for an expedite, but everytime we call it keeps saying the officer responsible for this isn't available. Anyone who applied for an expedite successfully can helps and tell us the steps he/she did?

Thanks in advance.

I agree. But I really don’t think they’re trying to trick anyone or make themselves look better. I got a call from my congressman’s office after sending them an email, and Congress is well aware that there’s a problem.

I just think it is their process to approve people across different months with a heavier focus on the older months. They probably want to decrease the number pending a bit across months. I know, it’s not fair and I wish they literally would approve people in the exact order in which we filed.

Gosh I see today they have changed this page

https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

No longer shows what month they're working on.

I'm really worried with how long they take that the whole 'have to have met each other in person within the last 2 years' will become out of date (even though we have met again since submitting)

Below that shows the option to put in your receipt date. It’s bullshit though because I put in my date May 20th and it said I can’t submit an inquiry until Independence Day 🙄

Then you have nothing to worry about really HOWEVER the requirement is to have met within 2yrs of submitting petition.
