I like your Name :D, but it is difficulty to stay optimistic. Sadly USCIS has managed to disappoint every time. For last 4.5 Months they have been processing cases from March 2021. Lets hope steam picks up

haha thank you! We have to stay optimistic though! I know, it's been a difficult few months. Let's stay hopeful that things will pick up. If they did process more cases in March, maybe it means they have increased their resources and will start moving faster. We're so close so we have to stay positive 😃

What does freedom of internet in China have to do with failures of US Immigration system ?!?

Also Freedomhouse is Freedom House is a non-profit, majority U.S. government funded organization

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_House

And USCIS is => Unlike most other federal agencies, USCIS is funded almost entirely by user fees,

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Citizenship_and_Immigration_Services

If they were not wasting money on such propaganda websites, maybe they could invest more money in USICS and making its website usable and functional.

So people wouldnt have to have these google sheets tracking and programming their own web scrappers.

It would have been much more useful for everyone :)

Hello my dear sufferers, I honestly dont know how to call you at this point :D, wait has been so long.

Good news is that the March was best month with regard to processing of cases in long time, so capacity is definitely increasing. Many of these cases are expedites requests probably related to Ukraine.

Sad news is that starting mid March, there is huge number of case withdrawals, in one week ok April we had over 40 withdrawals (across all ranges), so it seems that wait is taking its tool on many couples.

Sadly due to all this situation with Expedites, I assume that we May filers will probably wait for 12+ Months, and that USCIS will start processing our cases some time in second half of May.

One other dreadful thing is that, still today there is over 400 March (untouched NOA1) cases that have been more or less left behind, and their processing is proceeding is at average of 5-10 cases per day, which is crazy slow. Honestly I dread such situation.

On the other hand, they have started processing old backlog of cases from 2020, so I saw some movement it old November December 2020. They have also been processing some old RFEs from early 2021.

People say that you should always and on a happy and optimistic note, but at this point there is only one thing to be happy aboutand taht is.

just be thankful that you didnt submit after May, because if situation continues like this, people who submited after May will probably wait for 14+ Months. USCIS is utterly broken...

Thank you so much for this information. I always look forward every month to look at these charts. Hopefully you keep posting them after you get your NOA 2 Approval. For those September filers, lol.

I think the reason for the increase in processing was because of the war in Ukraine.

Unfortunately, it seems that was the KICK that USCIS needed in order to understand that whatever process they have needs to go FASTER.

Someone in Ukraine that applied in August 2021 or before shouldn't have to apply for an expedite request, they should've ALREADY  have had their NOA 2 response by this point.

Also, a large number of people withdrawing their application should be another BIG HIT for  USCIS. These poor people basically gave them a free $500 bucks and wasted months to hear nothing.

Hopefully this helps them see the extreme mental, emotional and physical stress it puts on people, not having a set time to get an approval.

If I would've known from the START that K1 NOA2 was going to take 13+ Months, I would've chosen another path.

This is really what frustrates most people, the fact that we applied thinking it was 6-9 month MAX.

Overall, I think we are progressing nicely, I guess. I compared your February 2021 numbers to the March 2021 numbers here are the differences.

Differences Between February and March 2021 Processing

====================================================

-----------Starting from January 2021-----------

January --- Difference of 16
February -- Difference of 10
March ----- Difference of 487
April------ Difference of 421
May-------- Difference of 90
June------- Difference of 99
July------- Difference of 68
August----- Difference of 93
September-- Difference of 75
 ----------------------------------

I'm a September 2021 Filer, so it's nice to see the other months get some work done as well.

Honestly, my main issue at this point is, what happens after K1 approval and arrival in USA. I have checked situation with AOS and EAD, this means that entire this wait is then transferred to wait for AOS and EAD, so people will be waiting for another 8-10 months, beeing plants in US unable to travel or work. As someone who likes to work, this will be dreadful, I will probably go back to University or do some Open Source Software development for this time.

Sorry if this is a question answered further back in the thread or elsewhere but, does anyone know what the process is for them approving an NOA1? Such as, when the case gets picked up on someone's desk at USCIS what is it that they then DO to check it and how long that task roughly takes?

Just trying to understand a little more about the abysmally slow processing times!

Hi May filers! Been reading some posts in the other months and seems like things are dragging out, especially for March filers! Has anyone in May seen movement yet? I can't help but think that those who filed mid - late may wont be seeing a NOA2 until June/July at this rate :( Then we have the time of NVC sending it to the respectful embassy... Trying to stay positive, but it's very difficult.

Im a late April filer and Im realistically not expecting anything until June/ July. They deprioritized K1 visas and i Can’t continue getting my hopes up. Even if they manage to do 100 a week, it will take another 2 months just to get to my group

Is this a new order of priorities though? I feel like this was probably always the order?

It explains why they are not really working on k1 petitions though. Us April filers should have started to be approved in November of 2021 and instead they kept moving the date back again and again and took 5 months just to get through March. Something is seriously wrong

Ah ok. I do also remember seeing this list but I just assumed that this is the usual list. I’ll try to find it and read again.

I’m a June 2021 filer, but I’ve been watching what’s happening with March, April and May. I agree I think it’s wrong that the k1 visa is advertised as the “faster” option and we all filed expecting probably 8 months max to be done with the I-129F. I don’t think it’s fair to advertise it to citizens in this way and then make us wait as long as the spouse at this point and the spouse get a green card as well. All of us have a letter of intent to marry, we just wanted our fiancés to get here faster and they are not anymore. Otherwise most of us could have just married and filed the I-130.  I am also trying to stay positive, but this is exhausting

Exactly! I’m sure none of us would have ever chosen this option if we knew how horrible it would suddenly and unexpectedly turn. But we never could have guessed since when we applied, the estimated time was 5-8 months. I’m trying to stay positive too but it keeps breaking my heart. I’m rooting for you guys though! And I consider myself in the May group since my NOA1 was April 26

I totally agree. And we are all so far into the process that even withdrawing and filing I-130 wouldn’t really benefit us anymore, especially since the processing times of the I-130 depends on the center so it’s risky. I am also rooting for the April people and hoping the March people all finish very soon. It is difficult to wait this long, but I keep hoping they’ll start moving along as they said they would!
