Cancel health insurance?  This is very short-sighted.  What will you do if you get into a car accident, get COVID, appendicitis, etc?  If you seek medical care of any type, you will be 100% liable for the charges, which won't be cheap.

Why would you want to cancel health insurance?  That is a very reckless thing to do, imho.

Thirding the question why your husband wants to cancel your health insurance. What are your plans if you get sick / into an accident / pregnant? Have you researched the cost of how much you'd have to pay out of pocket if you're not insured?

Please rethink this choice. If your current health insurance premiums are too expensive, research cheaper alternatives.

Yep, and getting sick is never a cheaper alternative.

I don't believe health insurance is required for green card interview.

It's not strictly required for the green card interview, but proof of being enrolled in your spouse's health insurance can be used as proof of a bonafide marriage.

Also looking at the long-term / big picture, it is not a good idea for anyone to go without health insurance in the US. That's just being penny wise and pound foolish.

I was just answering the question asked.
