Has anyone ever lived in a Haunted House?

When I was little we lived in an older house, like 70 yrs old in Chicago. The previous owners died (i think the whole family slowly, like mom, then daughter, finally dad - no tramatic event just age). But maybe there was more to the story that we never knew. I remember waking in the middle of the night as a kid (i slept in my mom's room) and i wanted to go to the bathroom, but then I heard footsteps going towards the bathroom door and it opened & shut... I was thinking to myself that it must have been my aunt, cause she walked real heavily. I woke up my mom to tell her that I had to go, and that aunt was in the bathroom for a while. She told me to wait, so I did, and finally the toilet flushed and I heard footsteps going away. In the morning I complained to my aunt what took her so long last night, she said she didn't wake or go to the bathroom at all! My mom heard the same thing I did, so I knew I wasn't going nuts. This also happened on a different occassion. I woke up my mom to tell her to get rid of whoever just walked in the bathroom after I heard footsteps and the door opening & closing. She walked me over there to find the lights on, but no one inside. Totally freaky!

Besides the footsteps, there was also another freaky thing. In the living room there were blinds, and sometimes they would all sway like if someone had run by them with their finger (no windows open, no air circulation) just kinda happened.

A friend of mine owns a home that was built during the civil war. When they bought it about 10 years ago it needed A LOT of work and since they moved in they have made they house wonderful. Strange things will happen in their home all the time. Things will just move......one minute it's there, then you turn around and it's gone! I thought she was just playin me until I saw it for myself. Her baby was crying and I went over to get the pacifier since I just saw it sitting on the table. Well....I went over to the table and it was gone. I looked on the floor and nothing. Searched around.....nothing. We went throughout the house looking for the danged thing, the baby screaming the whole time and my friend said "ok, I'm done with this game, give my son back his pacifer!!!" Walked back into the other room and there it was sitting on the table!!!! I would have never believed it if I didn't see it for myself. There's also been times late at night when we're sitting around on the patio and everyone will here something that sounds like galloping horses. Freaks the he$$ out of me!
