In my experience, my fiancé and I both wrote out how we met and how it transpired to be, plus the intent to marry on a separate sheet of paper. I brought it to my interview just in case but they never asked for it, so I'd say it's not too important but it's always better to come prepared just in case. They did however want my intent to marry sheet which I gave them. 

My CO never asked me anything about my fiancé's parents. I've never met his father or talked to them as they are not on talking terms and I was not stressed about it if they asked because as long as you're honest, they'll know. Of course every interview is different so they may or may not ask.

Thanks for the reply! I actually posted these questions a while ago, and my fiance has since had his interview. Happily, he was approved!
