There is something about her story that doesn't add up - I can kind of get saying she was a US citizen in the car if they though they would get through more quickly (though it is incredibly stupid), but it seems she was taken into the office and still maintained she was a US citizen? Would it be easier to cut your losses at that point and admit your mistake?

I still think it's ridiculous to deport her, especially with a legitimate marriage to a USC.

What I wonder is, what's happening now? The latest date I saw anywhere on the website was June 2005. Surely something must have happened since then?

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

H.R. 2247: For the relief of Jen-Hui Tsai

This bill is in the first step in the legislative process. Introduced House bills go first to House committees that consider whether the bill should be presented to the House as a whole. The majority of bills never make it out of committee.

Introduced: May 10, 2005 Makes Jen-Hui Tsai eligible for issuance of an immigrant visa or for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident of the United States under the Immigration and Nationality Act, upon payment of the required visa fees.

Last Action: May 19, 2005: Referred to the Subcommittee on Immigration, Border Security, and Claims.

This is a House bill, indicated by the "H.R." before its number. A bill is a legislative proposal before Congress. A bill must be passed by both the House and Senate and then be signed by the President before it becomes law.

---------------------------------

"The right of representation in the legislature [is] a right inestimable to [the people], and formidable to tyrants only." --Thomas Jefferson: Declaration of Independence, 1776

It's a shame this happened, but she should have known you can't just go saying I am an american and go through, crossing borders back home even americans must prove they are indeed americans, as it will show in the system if you are or not a USC.

hhhmmmmmmmm

am I the only dumb one watching this ?

You all seem not to be surprised how she ended up being here after all this.

Of course I feel sorry for her etc, but I watched this video twice and it looks like she is in US right ?

Did they actually let her in after this lie ?

Thanks for explaining  .. I dunno.. are Polish jokes true ? :P

It is a very stupid mistake to make and I feel for her terribly, but I can't help but wonder what we would have said to her if she'd posted her problem on this forum. Told her that she should not have lied and to go home, perhaps?

Maybe I'm cold-hearted, but I find it slightly hypocritical that a video makes the difference between us supporting her and telling her she should effectively suck it up because she lied.

My opinion :star:

I agree 100%
