Please I would like to know the answers to this questions. Has anyone been ever given their EAD during their AOS interview and how long after your AOS interview do you get your greencard in the mail? Thank you

love can touch once and last for a lifetime

Has anyone been ever given their EAD during their AOS interview

EADs get mailed from Lee's Summit, MO. I never heard of anyone being handed theirs in their interview.

and how long after your AOS interview do you get your greencard in the mail? Thank you

Depends on whether you have passed "FBI namecheck" and if you are approved on the spot. Best case scenario: about 2 weeks. Worst case: Years.

Dr LHA, I'm new here but I wanted to thank you for your responses - they're always well-thought-out, concise and very helpful. I have just received my AP (last night, in fact) and am waiting on my EAD. In your opinion, do you think my EAD will arrive before my interview? The interview is on August 16 and today (July 3) is the 75th day since I filed. From what I see here, most people's EADs are arriving on time, or within 90 days of filing.

Its possible it will arrive, but 75 days is a little on the quick side. If you want my opinion as a betting man, I think you'll be lucky if you have your EAD in hand when you go to your interview.

But don't you HAVE TO HAVE your EAD in 90 days...

I mean, if my husband's doesn't come - can't we make an INFOPASS appt and be given it?

No. They don't do that any more. Best you can get at the Infopass now is for them to contact the NBC to either issue by mail a Interim EAD or to expedite your current one. You're probably looking at another 1-2 weeks after the infopass at least before you have EAD in hand.

Ok...so there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Our 90 days will be while we're out of town, so by the time we come back we should have it (hopefully).

Gives us hope.

Really? But my interview is still six weeks away, which would put me at about 120 days without an EAD. I was pretty optimistic when I received AP email last night...

Oh sorry - I misread your post. I thought that your interview would be on day 75. If your interview is on day 120 you will most likely have your EAD! Sorry about that! :D

Haha, no worries  I figured you'd thought my interview was on July 16, not August 16. I'm so much more content now that I'm taking part in these forums and seeing others' positive timelines!

Okay, another update, and this one is the best news yet: my email stating that my EAD has been ordered just arrived. Day 75, people! DAY SEVENTY-FIVE!!!

Yes, I agree that it came rather quickly. I expected to wait another week or so, at least. Despite the news out of California that delays were imminent, the general tone on this forum seems to be quite positive.
