221G missing documents submission and follow up IV interview

I had an interview with the US consulate in Mumbai on January 2021. Everything was fine except they required the 2020 tax transcripts. They retained my passport and they asked me to drop it off at the document drop off locations when my spouse sent a copy to me. It has finally arrived in her mail a week ago but now the cgi portal says I need a 221g pending document submission and follow-up IV interview. What does this mean now? Would I need a new medical checkup? How would I even be able to enter the embassy when I don't have a passport and last time I remembered, the hospital required a passport for the tests to be done. They also have both copies of my passport clearance certificate I got in November 2020. Would they even let me into the embassy if I schedule an appointment when it is possible? There are no appointments available now due to Covid lockdowns.
