Hi Everyone!

So here is the deal,

my fiance' just got his interview date ( :D yea!!!) which is July 12th. Today I just got a NOA (I-797) saying that the USCIS has sent my approved petition to the NVC to process which should be complete within two to four weeks. Then after that they will send it to the embassy where my fiance' will be interviewed.

Then it goes on saying, I will receive a notification when NVC has sent it on to the embassy, and will provide me with a unique number for my case and the name and address of the u.s. embassy where my petition has been sent.

It seems like this step should have happened before we got our interview date.....? If someone could clear this up for me, that would be great. Any other advice or guidence would be appreciated as well!

Regards,

Katlyn

I didnt look at your timeline, but I'm guessing you were approved months ago and never got the paper copy? That happened to lots of us with May approvals. It just means USCIS can't print out NOA2's in a timely fashion. Make sure to hold on to this as you will need it for AOS. I just got mine in the mail a few weeks ago and we are interviewing tomorrow...

Ignore the USCIS info at this stage, as you already have an Embassy interview lined up. Sometimes notification arrives late.

The USCIS horse has arrived after the cart, so to speak.
