IDs for first-time passport application

Hi all,

Ok I am probably over-thinking this, but, for those who have applied for their new passport after being naturalized, the documents you had to provide were your certificate of naturalization and ONE photo ID right? (bringing the original + one copy)

This is my understanding from the checklist from the travel.state.gov website but I thought I read somewhere recently (and I can't find the source anymore but thought it was another official website) that you needed to present more than one photo ID....? I currently only have my foreign passport and green card as IDs , I of course won't have my green card at the time of the passport application, meaning the only photo ID I will have is my foreign passport. I know there are non-driver IDs you can get at the DMV (thing I ignored until a few days ago) but everything is so delayed with COVID....Anyways, for those who have been there recently, would love to hear from you, I trust that the info I am ready on the travel.state.gov website is the one to follow but I would rather find myself with way more evidences than needed rather than not enough -_-

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/need-passport/apply-in-person.html Quite clearly says all you need to present is a naturalization certificate

On the above site for applying in person

says come with photo ID # 4

You must present one of the following identification documents (IDs) to the acceptance agent. The ID must readily identify you.

and # 7 says to provide a photo (that would be passport size and style for your new US passport

You must provide one photograph with your application. To avoid processing delays, be sure your photo meets all photo requirements.

that is all for applying in person

if mailing you must mail in original naturalization document (copy it for your records before mailing)

and copies of the photo ID

and the passport photo

Would you trust the official travel.state.gov page or some random website that you can't find? Solved.

As mentioned, I did say I thought it was on an official website I saw that information and not on a "random website". Just keep scrolling if all you have to offer is condescension, it never solves problems.

I meant if you go by the checklist on travel.state.gov website, problem is solved, no need to look into any other.
