You can:

1.  Read, read, read about the NVC requirements.

2.  Start gathering needed tax documents, and proof of CURRENT annual income.  (study I-864 instructions)

3.  Be prepared to obtain required police certificates.

4.  Obtain required court records, divorce decrees, etc.

I'm sure others can also add to this list.

There will be 2 police clearances needed for Morocco but do not have your husband get these until NVC says to as one of them expires in 90 days  / they now accept scanned copies with original taken to interview (fiche anthropomtrique" at the local police office and al des casiers judiciaires)

when husband does get them,  they need to be translated into English and both Arabic and English sent to NVC

Get your 2020 IRS transcripts As soon as IRS completes your returns (send for them as it is taking months)

Morocco also will require a Moroccan original birth certificate and the translation at interview (also this expires in 90 days)

the most important thing you can do is talk talk talk to him to let him know every big and little thing about you,  your family,  your life including any previous marriage info/  CO will ask a lot if they have any doubts

and reassure him about this as they get nervous waiting

also have him think seriously about what he will do in the US (work or study)

His mother should have what they call a kid's book  which will list any shots and illnesses

but most of the shots he needs will be given at medical exam

Make sure he gets a copy of these and school transcripts when he comes

Another thing i did was pay for Adil to get driving lessons and Morocco license as here most of us have to drive and lessons here would have cost me $85 an hour

Thanks for this, JeanneAdil!  So the tax transcripts seem to be the most time consuming part as far as document preparation goes.  I will check to see what other documents are required with the i864.  I talk too much so the last part should not be a problem :).

Thanks again!  Good idea about the driving lessons.  They can definitely teach you how to drive defensively there!  I'm always impressed with the way the taxi drivers weave in and out of traffic and around pedestrians and cyclists.  The first time I came we were going to cross the street and I was watching the cars coming, just waiting, and my husband grabbed my hand and we just leapt out into the street as he said we would be waiting all day at that rate 😂
