Absolutely. Im a prime example. Look at my timeline.
I filed a Writ of Mandamus last month because of it.

Finally someone who's done a Writ of Mandamus! Do you think that is why they looked at your case all of a sudden, because of the Writ of Mandamus?

Did you file it yourself? How did you do this if I can ask?

Im sure that is why they looked at case. I filed because they said case was completed processing (3 months after interview), they asked for passport. We sent it. 2 weeks later they sent it back with 221g saying medical was out of date. I sent proof that it is in fact current. They admitted it and still wouldnt give visa. I asked why and they just kept saying “in administrative processing”.
so I consulted my lawyer and she said that the only option was Writ of Mandamus, but has to be filed by lawyer that has license in fed court. Its pretty complex, I wouldn’t attempt on your own. I found a fed lawyer and he filed it for me. A month later we got notice to send passport again. Its been a week. Currently still waiting.

Wow, ok Got it! Thank you for sharing. I do have a lawyer,  I believe he is a federal lawyer. Do you mind to share roughly how much he charged you to file the Writ of Mandamus, if not I totally understand. Thank you again!

It should be around $4000 to $6000. I have heard of some ppl paying more, but idk if they had a really complex case.

That is a large amount. Ok, thank you for sharing. It at least gives me an idea. You have to pay that each time you do  a Writ of Mandamus?

most law firms charge a flat fee. its a one time payment without approval not guaranteed. All you are asking is the court to intervene cause USCIS is illogical with their processing times and delays.

duh

I think this is good news for everyone filing.

USCIS received my I-130 petition on March 2, 2021 and informed me it was being processed in Nebraska. Two weeks ago I filed for K-3 just because I've heard the rumors that it can speed up the I-130 process.

My petition was approved yesterday (April 22). Actually kinda amazed at the turnaround time because I'm still waiting for the IRS to process my paper returns (yikes!)

4 months. Sent mine in December 2020. Just got refunded

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Congradulations!

Prior to our I-130, we did a fiance visa in 2018 (long story).  In our fiance visa tracking group there was one couple that got their I-129F in a month.  The fiance was from Cuba, IIRC.  It seems every once in a while a petition aligns with all the stars and gets approved very quick.

I hope the rest of the process goes just as fast for you.  Again, congrats!

EDIT: I dug through the past posts and found the couple:  https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=300155
