In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Don't wait for the joint bank account to file AOS.

That said, it's fairly easy to add your spouse to an existing US bank account. My husband just emailed his bank relationship manager, I had to fill out a couple of simple forms, and we were added to each other's accounts within a few business days.

Timeline says you were just approved in march so the I 94 is still valid (in case u haven't done this yet)

take it and get your SS#

i say that as i see many do not do this in the first 90 days( only from reading on here as i didn't go thru this)

but getting the SS # is a great help in getting added to checking account and to all other joint accounts

I'd also like to clarify that I didn't need an SSN to get added to my husband's checking account. He simply explained to his relationship manager that we are waiting for the SSN and will provide it as soon as available. No trouble at all.

You aren't waiting for a SSN before you file the I-485, are you?  SSN is not required for that.

As @Lucky Cat mentioned, you don't need to wait for the SSN or joint bank account to file your AOS papers. If your bank is giving you a hard time, you can file the AOS papers now, then while waiting for the AOS interview, you can sort out everything related to the joint account, SSN, driver's license, etc.

The only proof of marriage you have to send with the application is the marriage certificate. Nothing else.

All other evidence, you will bring to the interview. So you have months and months ahead to get an ID for him, add him to the bank account. Again, no other evidence is required at time of filing, only marriage certificate.

you dont have to wait for that, When I filrd for AOS, I didnt send the joint bank account as proof as I didnt have a SS# yet.  however my husband did add me as a authorized user on his CREDIT Card, and that can be done without a SS#, so that would work too,  if not you can always show some other proof of joint LEASE Contract or that you are a beneficiary of your spouse's insurance!!
