Just about everything we got coming is pre sold. You probably going to have to wait until allocation hits then put down a deposit and wait. If you are waiting for one to hit the lot unsold, that is not going to happen. You should have some dealers around you with some hybrid Camrys in allocation. Probably will not find an XLE. Many are charging over sticker. For sure not going to find one below sticker. I know we got hybrid RAV4 in allocation I sold one yesterday at MSRP. They wanted a discount. LOL

Most dealers are going to make you finance thru Southeast Toyota with an interest rate around 5%. Dont worry about that, just do it and refinance thru your credit union or pay it off as soon as your first payment is due. I hate having to make customers do that.

The new ice edge color in Camry is sharp. I am prejudice but if I was buying a hybrid Toyota for sure. We been doing it a long time. Battary warranty is 10 year 150K, hybrid component warranty is 8 year 100K.

Good news for me is that I don't need, nor do I want to buy, a new car right now.  I just see a lot of people jumping from their almost new $35K car into a $65k+ Tesla so they can save a thousand or two per year on gas.

Of course there is the Chevy Bolt that can now be had for under 30k, but...

Comes with 4 fire extinguishers.

I asked my manager if we had any Camry hybrid in allocation he said no they are really tight.  Look at the Venza.  The LE comes with most of the features of an SE Camry and gets around 39 to 40. MSRP around 35  The whole line is hybrid

Yep.  I was just playfully pondering an EV and running the numbers.  Daughter is picking up her new Tesla Y today.  Girl that works for me has two Teslas in her family.  Stepdaughter has one on order.  Other friends have them on order.   Won't be giving up my newish SUV,  but the wife has a smaller luxury car we use daily for 10,000 mi/year.  It gets about 28 mpg for our daily use.

Running the numbers @ $5 and $6 per gallon of gas for a $50k-$65k Tesla just doesn't make sense.  If I were to buy a new car, it would be a loaded top of the line Camry hybrid that gets better than 45 mpg, and still have a bundle of money left over to buy gas.

Just my opinion.

But it seems Camry Hybrids are not currently available in my area.  No problem.  I can wait.

Tried to convince a friend of this.  He's tired of his Tundra MPG, so he bought a Tesla 3, one step down from the top.  By the time he over pays for the Tesla, and as electricity rises with gas prices, he would have been MUCH better off buying a Corolla (similar trim to the T3), driving it for 10 years, trading it in on a brand new Corolla, and he would STILL have money in the bank, plus a brand new car that wouldn't be needing a new battery soon.

EVs are for rich folks still.  Maybe some day...

I must admit that the idea of a Hybrid is getting attractive.  They have a few in stock pretty close to me.

the $5 mark

Not here, yet.  On Saturday, filled for $4.09 at Sunoco station with use of their branded credit card that gives a dime/gallon discount.  But generally cheap prices around here won't last.

I never have really delved into the "why", but now I AM wondering why GA and TN tend to have the lowest gas prices in America, whereas TX, the HEART of all things petroleum, is typically around the middle of pricing?

Our Gov suspended all state fuel taxes . About 30 cents a gallon . We are around 4.09 give or take per gallon then I get 1 dollar off with Kroger fuel points
