Biden administration launches plans to replenish oil reserves

 

 

The Department of Energy announced Thursday it's beginning a buyback process with a call for bids to repurchase 60 million barrels of oil, or one-third of the 180 million emergency barrels released as Russian President Vladimir Putin wages war on Ukraine. Gas prices were already high before Putin's war, which sent prices at the pump hurtling upward even more. 

 

The call for bids from companies will take place in fall 2022, and is intended to bolster the nation's reserves for future years. President Biden announced earlier this year the U.S. would release 1 million barrels a day from the reserve to help alleviate gas prices.

Doesn't the US use about 20 million barrels a day?  Biden continues to wage his own war...on fossil fuels which was already increasing gas prices prior to the Ukraine crisis.  The war he blames is a convenient scapegoat for his own inept, irresponsible policies.

Very few people are believing his bull.  I heard his speech last night talking to a labor union about lines for food using the latest Biden/Democrat talking point of tagging it to MAGA (I believe he said "great MAGA king" which I am sure Trump likes).  He was very passionate and forceful in his remarks, but didn't acknowledge that the lines have gotten worse under himself.
