My wifes Advance Parole document came in the mail in the middle of Jaunary a few months after we applied. We sent our 12 year old sons application at the same time and we are still waiting? Crazy part is says it can take up to 2 years not sure what good that does as my wifes document is only good for one year and the system wont let me do an inquiry as it says its not pas processing times.

I thought these advance parole only took 2-3 months to process, any ideas on what to do from anyoone?

Where are you seeing that it can take up to two years?   Or do you mean for a green card?  You can check processing times by form at USCIS.gov.

In practice, AP/EAD is taking around 8 months currently. ' 2-3 months' was prior to COVID.

on the USCIS Website says it can take 2 years. The issue is what good is it if my wife has received hers two months ago and it will expire in 10months yet my son who sent it in at same time has no idea

when will get his. I might as well reapply for my wifes now since it takes so long

For EAD and AP when doing AOS from a K-1, you should normally look at the "National Benefits Center" processing times to get the "official" time, not the "California Service Center".

While the official processing times often have very little connection to reality, especially since the start of the covid-19 pandemic, that's only showing 6-10 months (or 6.5-10 for the specific case of category c(9) cases associated with AOS).

good suggestion thank you. My wifes advance parole will nearly expire by the name our boys makes it. That really defeats the purpose altogether since they wanted to travel back home together.

What makes you think it is at the CSC?  For people adjusting from K-1s, those are processed at the National Benefits Center, which you will note has a processing time of 3-5 months.  I am telling you that 6-8 seems more common anecdotally.

Expired EAD/APs can be renewed for free up to three months before expiry; GC interviews are taking upwards 18 months, so it would make no sense for EAD/AP to not be renewed. Google how to do that.

You seem confused.  Nothing is 'expiring.'  It can be renewed, for free while they wait for the GC interview.

I suggest you read the guides here on AOS to get a better idea of how it works.

The point is by the time I receive my kids my wifes will need to be renewed as its only good for a year

Renewal is very, very simple.   You can even do that 90 days before it expires.

Yes, like I said, it seems to be taking more like 6-8 months in practice.
