There never used to be plenty of stabbings, a relatively recent trend.

 

And those maps are somewhat misleading as the article implies, there are some areas significantly more affected, most places are not.

Again, were all these police encounters where someone was imminently attacking another or the police themselves?  Disarming a person with a knife can be done once the police arrive by many means, but if an officer is on scene and a person with a knife if attacking another what is the police officer supposed to do, use a net?

It is so interesting that a video of an officer acting badly lead to his conviction, and another couple of videos showing an officer acting properly in protecting a person from being seriously injured or killed is the subject of armchair quarterbacking.  Maybe eliminating the police is the best plan, since if the police are not there, none of these stories would ever make the news.

2.  rapidly compare this with his/her own race & ethnicity

It seems we are heading that way, but they also have to check birth certificates to determine age.

Another workaround is to never hire white street/patrol officers.

White ones can be on desk duty only.

(And better add Asians to that.)

The only street/patrol officers would be black & Hispanic.

And the black officers better have voted for Biden, or "they ain't black" and would merely exacerbate the problem.
