Address Change In Middle of Process

Hi all,

My US Citizen wife lived in the UK with me when we submitted the I-130 in August 2020, but moved home in December 2020 and awaits my arrival.

Should we have updated USCIS with the new US address immediately, or are we okay to just leave it as it is? I'm trying to avoid any delays to the case - as we have only received NOA1 and nothing since!

Another question -

We have asked the NSC for an update on the case, as it seems so delayed! Has anyone else used the online request for update? Do they give much information, or simply confirm that the case is still waiting to be looked at?

Any information is so useful to us, it's so frustrating being apart this long!

did you give any US address when submitting the petition?

hopefully a good email ID as that is how i got the next phase NOA2 notice

and USCIS doesn't really update you unless you receive an RFE for more proofs

other than that the next notice will be the NOA2 saying sent to NVC

U can sign up for updates on USCIS site / I did /  i saw one which only gave a date (no information)

Getting updates and any information from immigration is pretty much a useless thing

Keep each other spirits up and positive

I'm quite sure we have the US address on the application somewhere, but i'm also still at the UK address so will receive anything that gets sent to my wife!

Oh right, so I shouldn't expect too much from notifications then! Thank you

No need to inform USCIS of the address change at this point.  Just make sure to provide the updated information on the I-864 form when your case gets to the NVC.
