Hi all,

I believe our K1 case has been received by Guangzhou embassy from NVC (CEAC website says case is "Ready"), and fiance recently moved to new home (in same city).

We just started filling out the DS-160, and was wondering if filling out fiance's new home address in DS-160 was the correct spot for updating? After completing the DS-160 with fiance's new address, will the embassy be able to mail P3 to the new address? Or we need to put address change through a different method?

I am not sure if the embassy has already sent out the P3 to the old address.

I did look at this for reference: https://ustraveldocs.com/cn/cn-niv-deliveryaddressmodify.asp

However, it looks like that is applicable for when interview is already scheduled (we have not scheduled interview yet).

Thanks

You can update the DS160 with your fiance's new address. In terms of the P3, we emailed our embassy directly to update the mailing address. They sent us our P4 (P4 is used in India instead of P3) via email and in about 2 weeks, we received the physical copy

I'm not sure if guangzhou embassy typically mail or email the P3.

I did receive this email from NVC (see attached screenshot).

Maybe the P3 is available through one of the websites (ceac or embassy)? I'll have to look around those websites later. and I'll try emailing directly the embassy to ask if they typically mail/email P3.

thanks!

This is the standard email for NVC. However, look up the email address for Guangzhou embassy and send them a message. Example:

Dear Officer,

My name is XYX, the petitioner/beneficiary, and I would like to update ABC, the beneficiary’s, mailing address for the P3:

[enter address]

Would it be possible to send the P3 by email? Thank you for your consideration.

Best wishes,

Your name

Guangzhou no longer send out P3, you will get a email from NVC with the title "Immigrant Visa Interview Appointment"

Make sure you have the correct email. You could even enter up to 3 email address.

@samuelam,

The title of the email i got from NVC was "The National Visa Center sent your K1 visa petition to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in Guangzhou, China - Mainland".

Have not yet received email from NVC with the title "Immigrant Visa Interview Appointment". Not sure how long I have to wait before receiving that email.

I have also received the same email. My case has also been sent to Guangzhou. However, I have moved back to South Africa to continue the process. I am a SA citizen but the Guangzhou embassy is holding onto my case and won't transfer 😕

But yes.. I also have not received an immigrant visa interview appointment from them and my case also says "ready"

You won't get an interview appointment from NVC because NVC does NOT schedule k1 appointments

I asked (sent an inquiry to Guangzhou embassy) about the address change. See picture for response.

Basically, they have a link available for address change while they pre-process the application before the interview gets scheduled. this is the same link I used when sending my enquiry. They mention its okay to use native language character for the address. Downside is the inquiry is limited to 280 characters.

I will change address through that link, I'll report back to forum with results later.

Hi All,

I was able to successfully update beneficiary's address and phone number. See image below for reply response from Guangzhou embassy to confirm updating address and phone. Thanks all!

I used this link for the Guangzhou embassy to send message with updated info:
