Hi all,

Our green card interview is scheduled for April 28. My wife and I recently purchased a home and today I submitted the change of address AR-11 form. My concern is that the change of address won't register before we are approved/ the card is produced and they mail the green card to the wrong address.

Should I be concerned?

Is there any way to avoid this issue?

Can I tell the interviewing agent about the change of address to make sure it gets mailed to the proper one?

Thank you.

I would:

1.  File AR-11 for immigrant's new address.

2.  File I-865 for sponsor's new address.

3.  Inform the IO of the new address during the interview

4.  Notify USPS of the household's new address.

My husband and I had filed a change of address a few months ago and our green card interview was on April 22. We had called USCIS 2 days before the interview and the officer that answered said the new address isn't showing yet, but we could show proof of the new address the the immigration officer during the interview. That is what we did and the immigration officer at the interview noted the new address in our file and in his system.

I865 is no required yet as the i864 is not yet effective.   They simply would prepare a new i864 and bring to interview

YMMV
