Spouse Visa converted to Widow Visa

Hello VJ members, is there any IW-1 visa applicants here? i want to connect with you. I got DQ July21,2020 still not getting any appointment here in Riyadh Embassy. Not sure why they are not giving interviews for IW-1 considering this cases are very few. Its very frustrating.

When i ask the embassy in riyadh they said they are processing all immigrant visa classes and it will be scheduled by nvc in order the case becomes qualified. I beliv as per dq date as per my understanding. Last week, cr1/ir1 whose dq also in July2020, got IL.me i didnt get. I was assuming they are only professing cr1/ir1 at the moment.

My dq is july21, 2020 and those who get were july 24 and 28..i was expecting il get but nothing. My problem is, my employment contract will end in less than 6mos.. I might transfer my case to Philippines if not still scheduled here.

I wouldn't do anything yet, Manila is a  very slow mess at the moment

You got any info what dq months there holding interviews? Normal cases not expedited.

I think it's probably still a bit too early for you to think that they've forgotten about you or skipped over you. If you start seeing cases with DQ's going into mid-August, I would probably send out an "Ask NVC" inquiry. It could be that because your case is more unique that it takes a bit longer to process.

Thank you.  in our fb groups in Riyadh filers, CR1&IR1 whose DQ in July 24 & 28 got IL and I was also expecting I will get because embassy told me they are processing all immigrant visa classes and my case is in que to be scheduled by NVC.

They have also added that NVC will schedules appointment the case in order becomes qualified which means as per DQ date. They are right but the problem is they are not mentioning in their website that it is only applicable for CR1/IR1. it was confusing and I felt hopeless.

I understand where not seeing your visa class would be confusing and disheartening. I know I just said to wait, but it might provide you peace of mind to reach out via the "ask NVC" form, or by contacting the Riyadh embassy directly to see what their official word is on if they're processing your visa class. It can't hurt.

I contacted NVC Apri16, 2021 the date when some members in our group receives IL.. I even attached the screenshot from FB and few minutes back I got a reply. sounds general reply and telling my case is in que waiting for appointment. I emailed also the embassy April16,2021 and they responded today that they cant provide specific date for interview and those applicants who got IL last april16,2021 should not be my basis too. It  sounds crazy and you will see visa released worldwide a total of 41 in Feb2021.

Based on your recollection of their response, I think the only thing you can do at this point is to just wait, as they said to do. Good luck!

Actually, I already contacted NVC to move my case to my home country because my employment contract will end this coming October2021 and no assurance il be renewed and no information if I get interview appointment before October.
