I-129 F Expired No Interview Yet

My I-129 F expired on 4/14. I believe a lot of us are in the same boat because we can't get interviews scheduled. I completed the DS-160 and my case is at NVC. Is it best to reach out to let them know I want to continue or just wait until visa processing resumes for Philippines? All of this is out of our control.

The consulate has the authority to extend.   Currently,  the consulate isn't even aware of your case since its still sitting at NVC.  Often times you do not need to do anything and the consulate will extend it automatically.

If you want to be proactive, once the consulate resumes normal processing,  and your case moves over to Manila,  it might be prudent to contact them then.

All you can do is wait. There are people who filed a year before you who are still waiting.

Ok, I'll bite.  How can they extend if they don't know about it?

Finally done.

They can't.   But they will once its on station and you have your interview.   That is why contacting Manila now or contacting NVC at anytime, about this issue is pointless.

YMMV
