How often did you email the consulate after your on AP/AR? What is to much

I am wondering how often other people checked in on thier cases? Did you e-mail the emabassy only or call washington? Its so hard to be patient. I also want to say congrats to everbody getting their visas. I know I don't post a lot, but I just want to share how happy I am for you all.

I called Washington just about everyday. I emailed the Embassy once a week for an update.

The system in DC is up to date. If your application is pending, means that everyone is covering their ### before they print your visa. Name checks background checks ect.

you will get through the same day talking to the Dept. of State.. If you email the embassy in Cairo.. it can take up to a week for a response..

I email the Embassy about 2 times a month becuae when i email them more than this before i would get angry when i would get the same responce " your case is pending neccesary administrative processing." So now i just email them 1 time every 2 weeks. As far as DOS ( Department Of State in Washington D.C.) i called them 2 times a month becuase i never would get the same response from anyone. I would get differnt answers also my fiance's case never made it to Washington they told me Cairo was conducting his security checks. Either way its frustrating getting either different responses, or the same response and it take the Embassy 1-5 business days usually to respond to your emails. I used to email the embassy about twice a month. I would get such conflicting information with DOS I myself felt more comfortable dealing at the embassy level. I never had a problem with them responding. I would typically email them on a Thursday and 9 times out of 10 I would have a reply from them on Sunday.

Post interview I emailed the embassy twice (in 4 months) and called DOS about once a week (for the two months our case was there). I never called the embassy.

for the first 5 months, i didnt call at all. I figured the process would just move along as it could. By the mid 5th month I started calling weekly for the next three months. I can tell you calling was waaaaay worse than living my "normal" life. Now that we are stuck again and there IS no one to call, we just plod on knowing that it will eventually end.
