How to inquire about EAD combo card

Hi,

I applied for my AOS on October, right before the deadline where they increased the filing fees. It's been 6 months now and I still haven't received my EAD and AP combo card. Recently my wife has been handling the finances for the most part, but its putting a lot of pressure on her and is putting a strain in the relationship. I have been applying for jobs and I've been getting decent feedback from employers. I thought the wait time for EAD is 3-6 months. But it's been well over that time period now.

Is there a way to check the status of my EAD or at least call and inquire about it?

Some people are waiting as long as 8 months for an EAD.  You can request an expedite if you have a job offer.  This is one of the major disadvantages of choosing a K-1.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Just to note that there was no fee increase last year. Everything is still the same.

EAP/AP is taking as long as 9 months.

So is 8 months the new wait time to receive EAD/AP now?

And if I request an expedite and it doesn’t get granted, do I have to go back in line and wait another 6+ months?

I just saw a case today in which a lady has been waiting 10 months for an advanced parole document.....    An expedite denial will not place you at the back of the line.

My i145 was denied November 2019 and I was asked to leave USA in 33 days because my husband was in the jail can’t make it to the interview, so I filed vawa January 2020 meanwhile he that was he’s 5th time going to prison without telling me. We also had a lot of issues before he was arrested in 2018. Just filed for Ead AP and AOS. Can I travel with my AP while vawa and AOS is pending. Remember I was asked to leave the country within 33 days in 2019. Can I also file for my son abroad because he’s already 16 years
