travelling back to the UK-different name on passport and green card

Hey guys,

 

So I am planning on booking tickets to see my family in England in July. The issue is my passport is in my maiden name and my green card is in my married name.

 

I assume I should book my tickets in my maiden name to match my passport, as this will be the main document I use for travel.

 

Then perhaps I should bring a copy of the marriage certificate alongside my green card and passport for when I enter the US? I just wanted to check this as I'd hate to book the tickets in the wrong name or run into any issues at the airports.

 

Also my passport doesn't expire for a few more years so I'd rather not get it changed if I don't have to  (especially with covid I can imagine it takes longer than usual)

1.  Book in the name on Passport.

2.  Carry a copy of marriage certificate to tie the maiden name and married name together.

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
