K1 NVC Expedite Process

I am the petitioner, I workin a covid unit at a hospital providing direct care to covid patients, just submitted my expedite request, I am petitioning my mother IR5, I have two children under the age of 4, and I am also in nursing school, plus I work nights.

Every two weeks is a struggle for me because of the CDC guidelines and daycare, everytime my kids have cough, or runny nose the school refuse to take them which is understandable but I work nights and get home really tired in the morning I work 12 hour shift, so I have to keep them hope when they are sick and of course be awake as they are too young to be unsupervised. I have no family here except for my husband and he can't miss work as his income is major main of support for our family.

Sometimes if I am scheduled to work the following night I have to call out of switch my day which is not always possible, so that is affecting us financially too.

Let's see what day say.

Not pointing so much at you with this next comment, but there is in this thread - as always - a lot of bitterness and righteousness that come out of the humans here whenever anyone inquires about expedites.  Let people try, its no skin off of our backs. (because we can presume that the DoS and USCIS are going to check it out before granting it)

I think a lot of the old-timers here get weary of seeing people fabricating flimsy excuses for expedite requests, simply because they do not want to wait in the queue with everyone else.

And if you think about it, yes it is "free", but it is not free to the overall processing timeline in terms of the use of DOS/USCIS resources, as all of those requests must be vetted by actual workers.

If all expedites were legit and approved, the queue would be exactly the same as it is with no expedites at all.

I believe we have the right to try, but I understand what you're saying.

I wish we had data regarding the number of expedite requests submitted versus the number of approved expedites.  That data might give some useful info.....

Mine was approved at the nvc level because I have a son not with the beneficiary that I am unable to find adequate care for due to me working 100 hours in 7 days. I am gone 16 to 18 hours a day. Honduras has not been open for k1 visas in a year. I submitted the expidiate through the nvc inquiry form and in 8 days it was sent to the embassy. I work for the airlines. I know there are 3 of us from Honduras with about the same situation that have been approved at the nvc level for our case to be moved to the embassy.

HI,

Now our K1 case is at NVC and we are thinking about using the expedite process.  We are going to use the argument of essential workforce.  Under CDC guideline, I, the petitioner, am considered an essential worker at 1c category.  Has anyone use the essential worker argument to get the expedite approval?  What evidence and documentations did you use?

Thank you.

Kevin

I am frontline worker and was under a lot of stress working full time raising two kids alone  with my husband still waiting for his visa interview. I asked for expedite was denied. You can try but I doubt it will work. Just like the others said on here it is the other way around. Not the petitioner.

Expedites are a thing if that is what you are asking.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

From what I gathered so far, it is pretty much pure luck.  If you can come up with a sad story, essential workers, mental distress, physical health distress, whatever, just try to submit the request.  The request itself is free.

Depends on the embassy too. I've seen people get approvals for mental hardship in one embassy and some with more valid reasons like brain tumor (in another embassy) that didn't approved. Good luck. Please let us know how it goes. 💜

That would be if the beneficiary is an essential worker not the petitioner. They would wonder what good would it do to expedite the beneficiary.

For medical related conditions, what email address would I send for a request for expedite?  I have seen multiple different addresses,  not sure which email is the correct one.  Thank you in advance!

I just googled and found this forum.  I didn't know a forum talking about the K1 NVC Expedite Process, asking questions about how an expedited process works, was not allowed.   I guess you ONLY help those who don't have a K1 visa involving the Philippines.  Sorry for asking a question in your private group conversation.  I'll look else where for advice or help.

Don't misunderstand i was in no way scolding you but only trying to guide you to a better place.  You should be posting in the Philippines regional forum,  it is tbe best forum to get Manila specific answers.   You originally posted in a general forum and you wont always get the best answer.

@payxibka is one of the most helpful, most knowledgeable members here on VJ....especially in all things related to immigration from the Philippines.  He was just trying to help you find the forum area where the PI experts monitor and comment.  He was trying to be helpful.
