Going through the POE in July and want to get my ducks in a row.

I will be continuing to work in Canada and live just over the border.

I have a few questions for both a lawyer and an accountant, not totally sure I need either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you're not sure you need either, and your questions don't include any sensitive information, why not share them here and see if anyone can offer you any assistance?

I understand the desire for specific & qualified help, but you never know what you'll get on VJ, could be just what you're looking for ✌️

Patience......patience.

Hey there, so your situation is going to be very similar to mine. I'll be living in Blaine and continuing to work for my Canadian employer both working from home in the US and in the office in Canada.

I have some contacts that may be of help for US/Canadian immigration issues and also tax affairs as well if you want to PM me.

Or if you have any specific questions, please feel free to ask them, I've researched a lot into this so I ought to be able to help you out!

I’m not sure how to move this conversation to another forum, I’ve been on the one Ontarien mentioned and find it gets pretty clogged up, but I’ll give it a shot if this isn’t fruitful.
To be more specific about my circumstances, I have a condominium and RRSPs. I also have a municipal pension and additional private health care through work.

i don’t have TFSA any more and have heard that’s a good thing as it’s taxed.

Turns out my damn car doesn’t have TPMS so I have to deal with that headache soon as well....

I just came across this thread. In case you're still looking for a Canadian immigration lawyer, when I moved from the US to Canada I worked with David Aujla in Victoria BC. He was very good and very easy to work with. Reach him at https://www.bcimmigration.com.

Hope that helps!
