Hi all

I have dual citizenship and when I applied I was living in Dublin Ireland, now I live in Northern Ireland which is part of the UK. I emailed the Dublin embassy and they said I had to change the case to the London embassy. A request was filled out as per the NVC enquiry form but they have now sent the case to Dublin anyway (In transit). Is anyone aware of how long it will now take to send it to the UK once it gets to Dublin. I can just move back to Dublin in the mean time as I do not need to be in Northern Ireland currently, would this be quicker?

Thanks

It’ll probably take a few weeks (maybe more now with the pandemic) as you’ll need to contact the consulate in UK for them to send a transfer request to consulate in Ireland. It’s up to you what you prefer to do. If I were you I’d just move back to Dublin.
