I-131 re-entry permit timeline?

Sent I-131 re-entry permit documents to USCIS via USPS. Showed as delivered on 3/31/21. It's been about 2 weeks but I have not received any notification that they Got it and credit card has not been charged yet. What is the timeline or hold up?!

I need to leave the country in 2 months - technically if they do not need biometrics can the permit be sent to my home address in the USA and my spouse forward it to wherever I am? Thanks!

I sent my reentry application early August 2020. Received my NOA1 4 weeks later .. notification that biometrics had been applied received in November 2020 then received the document in February 2021

Wow 4 weeks for NOA1? Did you send the e-notification of acceptance form (G-1145) or was your NOA1 just a paper mail?

Unclear; don't you already have a green card?

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Ah -- re-entry. :bonk:

I'd try to (sigh) call USCIS for a status report, and at the same time request an InfoPass caucus to see whether things can be sped up.  If the outcome is fruitless, contact your U.S. Congressman's office and speak with the immigration liaison.

Couldn't get through their ridiculous automated call system to get to an agent since I don't have a receipt number! What is an Infopass caucus? I just need to know how long it is currently taking from application at lockbox to NOA1 - it's been 16 days 😕

"Caucus" was just my term for meeting/consulting with an officer at an InfoPass appointment.  I should have been more precise.

Search the forums for advice on how to reach a real person at USCIS -- sorry that I have no link to any of the several threads that have been posted.

Actually, now might be the time to contact your Congressman's office.  They'll have a form for you to complete to give them permission to intercede on your behalf.  I have good feelings about this avenue.

Wow, I've heard other persons waiting longer from Nebraska, I applied September 2020 and they've had my fingerprints since december still nothing. I travelled soon as I provided my fingerprints but now i may have to return to the US if I dont get an approval by early next month.

My application was approved at the lower end of the range indicated by USCIS for processing at LIN. Sorry you are at the other end 😓

What does that means? My receipt number also starts with LIN

There is a “ normal “ processing time range listed  on the USCIS website for  each form .. reentry is I131... and each service center that is processing these applications .. LIN  is Lincoln,Nebraska.  Eg 5.5-8.5 months. 50% of applications are processed by the first timeframe and 90% are processed by the second. If you are past the second then you can start an online enquiry with USCIS
