I-130 for Mom

I filed I-130 for my mom about 6 months ago and I got the acceptance receipt in about a week. But since then I haven't heard anything. I keep tracking it online and I get the same info that was on the acceptance receipt.

I would like to know how long the process takes and at what point do they require one to get a DNA test?

There is no guaranteed processing time, but you can check the I-130 processing time estimates at the service center here -- https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

DNA tests are not normal.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Birth certificates are required.  DNA tests only if they suspect something wrong.

Also, your profile states pending naturalization.  I hope you became a USC before submitting the I-130.

I got a RFE because my birth was registered 3 years after my birth, they sent it almost 6 months after I sent the petition.

They didn't ask for DNA test,

They asked for early school records showing my mothers name

Baptismal certificate

Affidavit of people who were 11 years or older at the time of my birth

I just sent them my Baptismal Certificate, I was baptized at 9 years of age, I also sent a notarized letter from my mother explaining why she registered my birth late (translated), sent some pictures of my family naming everybody, with date and place, I don't have photos as a child with her, and pictures were not affordable back them so, all the pictures I sent was from my 16 birthday up.

Sent a cover letter stating all the documents submitted.

PD 7/3/21

RFE 1/31/21

RFE respond received by uscis 3/12/21

Case approved 4/2/21

NVC received 4/8/21

Fees paid 4/8/21

Good luck
